The castle of the Mesnil d'O was built around 1751 by Jacques Morin du Mesnil (1711-1793), on a land that was once possessed by the O family.

It was listed as a historic monument by the October 7 1975 order.

The outbuildings and the park have been restored in 1962 by the Major Crampton. In 1981, Guy de Chabaneix buys it back from the Major Crampton inheritance and renovates entirely the interior of the castle.

The castle of the Mesnil d'O becomes Gîte de France in 2004.

All the bedrooms are equiped with bathrooms with toilets, bathtub or shower.
